What we've been up to

In a seemingly uneventful year, here at the Belmont, we have been keeping busy in anticipation of the return of our beloved guests. From refurbishments, volunteering and food bank donations take a look at what we’ve been up to during this lockdown.

We have fully refurbished four more rooms, adding bespoke hospitality units to each which include a mini fridge and safe, and two of which now also feature a user-friendly walk-in shower.

The four refurbished rooms are:

  • 112 (Deluxe Single) - 3ft single bed, walk in shower
  • 212 (Deluxe Single) - 4ft 6 double bed, walk in shower
  • 304 (Standard Single) - 3ft 6 single bed
  • 305 (Belmont twin/double) - 6ft Zip ‘n’ Link bed

Staff Volunteering:

Some of our staff from our hard-working team have been doing their bit and volunteering at vaccination centres across Devon, including Sidmouth & Westpoint, in Exeter.

Gardening Continues:

Lockdown doesn’t stop our hardworking gardeners, with 15,000 bedding plants to tend to they’ve been working hard to ensure our grounds are looking nothing short of perfection for May 17th.

Food Bank Donations:

Last year we started receiving stock for our Christmas Hampers through the autumn period in order to get them ready on time to distribute to the Hotels within the Brend Group for the Festive season. Due to Covid restrictions, the majority of our Brend Hotels festive hampers were not able to be used, so rather than see them all go to waste, they were taken to the local food bank.
