Hotel Information

If you discover a fire: Immediately operate the nearest fire alarm call point. Leave the building via the nearest available escape route and report to the person in charge at the assembly point at the bottom of the drive. Do not use the lift or stop to collect personal belongings and do not re-enter the building until told it is safe to do so.

To test our alarm system, the bells will be sounded each Tuesday morning at 10.30am. We are sure you will understand the necessity of this and hope this will not cause you any inconvenience.

In the interests of other guests, smoking or vaping in rooms is not permitted. Your room is fitted and monitored with a highly sensitive detection system and smoking or vaping could activate the fire alarm, which may lead to the evacuation of the hotel. Please note that smoking of cigarettes, pipes, cigars and e-cigarettes are only permitted in the designated areas outside of the hotel.

Guests are requested to vacate their room by 11.00am on the day of departure. Should you wish to accommodate your room longer, please contact reception, although this will incur a charge. Rooms are not available until 3.00pm on the day of arrival.

Cheques are accepted; however we reserve the right to use TRANSAX. This is a service provided by FIS Payments (UK) Ltd to carry out a cheque risk assessment if the cheque does not meet the approval criteria. Travellers' cheques must be supported by proof of identity. The following credit cards are also accepted: MasterCard, Visa, Switch, American Express.

Porterage is available 24 hours a day, if you require any assistance please contact reception.

If you wish to contact reception for further information on hotel facilities or require an iron and ironing board, please press 0.

The night manager is on duty throughout the night, if you require any assistance please dial 0.

The Management wish to inform you that our responsibility for the loss or damage to any article or articles of value whilst at our hotel is restricted to the terms of the Hotel Proprietor’s Act 1956 i.e. £100 per guest. Most rooms have safes, however, we can also offer the facility for your valuables to be deposited at reception and placed into a safe. However, guests are recommended to maintain their own insurance cover on the items in question as the hotel cannot accept responsibility for the valuables.

Complimentary bottled still mineral water is provided for your consumption, if you require additional bottles please contact reception.

UK Calls: 

Press 9 (please note that you will not hear a dialling tone), then proceed with the STD code and then the number you require. Call Rates will vary depending on the distance and duration of the call (as an example a standard UK national call from a BT line to a BT line will be approximately 25 pence per minute) and will be added automatically to your account.

Internal Calls: 
Simply dial the room number you require. (Except for Room 001 – dial 501 and for Room 002 – dial 502)

As part of the company's policy on health and safety, all of our bedroom windows have been fitted with restrictors. However, should you wish to have these removed during your stay, please contact reception and we will gladly arrange this.

Connect your WiFi settings to Brend Hotels WiFi, open your browser and enter the required information.

If you would like to order a newspaper, please dial 0 for reception (please order the evening before).

Your mail can be stamped and posted at reception. Collection is before 2.00pm Mon - Fri.

Medical services can be contacted through reception. Unless an emergency, guests may be asked to speak to the Health Centre to arrange an appointment or 111.

We have a guest laundry service. It will assist us if your laundry could be given to your housekeeper by 9.00am. We will endeavour to return items laundered within a 24 hour period, but this could take up to 48 hours. Express dry cleaning service available (except Sundays). Shoe cleaning service available at all times.

Digital Television is now provided in all rooms. Sky Sports channels are also available on 50, 51 and 52.

These can be located on top of the dressing table or inside the bedside cabinets.

If the bathroom has a mirrored cabinet, toiletries can be accessed by pushing the button on the corner of the cabinet.
